Pregnancy Classes

Yoganic specialises in classes for pregnant women. We offer more prenatal classes than any other studio in Sydney with 10 classes throughout the week including morning, lunchtime, evening and weekend classes.

We also hold regular workshops including Discreetly Fit (Pelvic Floor) & Energyflow Hypnobirthing. For more info, please

.

Yoga, Pilates and Yogalates (a fusion of Yoga and Pilates) are the best forms of exercise during pregnancy. They're both a gentle and safe means of keeping strong, toned and supple without strain, of keeping aches and pains at bay and energy flowing, of relaxing the mind and body, and preparing physically and mentally for the demands of labour, birth and motherhood.

Visit Yoganic and meet other mums-to-be and indulge in the benefits of pregnancy yoga and pilates. It is our intention to make you feel nutrued, calm, comfortable and confident in every class. Our prenatal classes are for women throughout all stages of pregnancy. Each pregnancy is unique and we strive to give special attention to each new mum. No previous yoga experience is necessary. Our teachers will offer safe modifications so that you can honour your changing physical body and energy levels.

Pregnancy Yoga
By adapting classic yoga postures, breathing, meditation, relaxation techniques and discussion you will develop confidence and nurture your innate wisdom to connect with your unborn baby, to rest, relax and re-energise. Yoga will help you to improve
circulation, ease digestion, strengthen your uterus and pelvic muscles, and simply make you more at ease throughout your pregnancy. We take plenty of time to share and address common challenges we face over the prenatal journey including exhaustion, nausea, constipation, varicose veins, swelling, and back pain. Each class ends with a period of deep relaxation.

Women in their first and second trimesters are also welcome to attend our Yin Yoga classes. For a class description, please click here.

Pregnancy Pilates
With the use of Flexbands, Stability balls and your own body weight for resistance, you will strengthen your abdominals, back and pelvic floor muscles to assist in a more comfortable pregnancy and prepare physically and mentally for the demands of
labour, birth and motherhood. Both our Instructors are qualified Stott Pilates Instructors and Heba (our Saturday instructor) is a qualified Physiotherapist.

Pregnancy Yogalates
Yogalates integrates a safe blend of pilates and yoga and is the perfect combination of strengthening and relaxing. With the use of therabands, swiss balls and your own body resistance, you will improve your strength, flexibility and endurance to help
you prepare physically and mentally for the demands of labour, birth and motherhood. By strengthening your lower back muscles, posture is improved, helping to minimise lower back pain. Improved circulation leads to more energy and can lessen haemorrhoids, varicose veins, swelling of the hands and feet and cramps. Strengthening the pelvic floor will keep your pelvic floor in tip top shape preventing problems post-baby.
